Canadian composer and musician Joshua Van Tassel has produced a gorgeous piece of classical music on Smiles Displaced.

Smiles Displaced certainly belongs within the classical genre, but I would also say it has elements of the ambient style, making it sound rather unique. A slow piano melody works its way through the music, alongside a gorgeous array of strings and backing effects, making for something extremely atmospheric. It’s actually pretty beautiful at times, building up slowly as the track progresses. The video is also pretty beautiful, suiting the style of music well – you can check out the video here:
