Mediatri xxx is a Canadian folk-rock singer-songwriter, with latest release Obedient Daughter leaning more towards the folk side of things.

However, Obedient Daughter is a really beautiful sounding song as it is, making for one of my favourite songs at the moment! The chorus is catchy, yet it never sounds overtly mainstream, which is definitely a good thing for me! As well as a rhythm section in the background, the track also contains some lovely guitar melodies, tailing off from the instrumentation every so often. The backing vocals add a gospel quality to the music, echoing in lovely style against the passionate lead vocals. This is a must listen!
