The lo-fi/chill-hop genre has been getting a lot of traction recently, and producer Bmbu is fast becoming one of my favourite artists from that scene!

The beat on Skies is a little faster than you might normally expect from such a song, but it really works! There are some faint backing sounds heard in the background, but the main instrumentation comes from the drums and a pretty piano melody that weaves its way in and out of the music. There isn’t too much variety, but it’s not really needed in this type of track, making it perfect as it is. This is a great track for relaxing to after a long day at school or work – find it here:
