As regular readers will know, I’m a big fan of the country/Americana genre, so it should come as no surprise that I love D Boone Pittman’s music.

East of Ravenna is an awesome new tune from Pittman, opening with a slow, bluesy acoustic guitar melody. The guitar continues through the majority of the track, adding a lot of character and atmosphere. There’s also a fairly subtle drum beat thrown into the background, as well as a folksy violin, creating something utterly evocative. Pittman’s vocals have a raw quality, but they really suit the genre of music he performs. If that sounds good, check it out below!
