Plantoid are a Brighton-based four-piece who are new to these pages. We’ve just discovered them for ourselves thanks to their new psychedelic track and video, Dog’s Life.
By Graeme Smith
Dog’s Life is a track that instantly grabs you with its scattergun guitar riffs and jazzy arrangement. Delicate vocals float over the sharp edges of the instrumentals, providing a beautiful contrast before we reach a hard rock breakdown. Plantoid have a sound that’s incomparable to everything else out there at the moment.
Plantoid are Chloë Spence on lead vocals and guitar, Thomas Coyne on guitar, Bernardo Larisch on bass and Louis Bradshaw on drums. They’ve just signed to Bella Union which includes acts such as Flaming Lips, Faster John Misty and Explosions In The Sky. We can’t wait to see where they take their unique brand! Dog’s Life is the lead single from the upcoming debut album, set for release early next year. You can check its video below.
