Nicole Saphos Band reflect on the season with lively new track, Home For The Holidays.

Born in Los Angeles, USA and now based in Philadelphia, Nicole Saphos Band is the project of the eponymous Nicole Saphos. It has previously featured twice on this blog with us sharing her singles Keepin’ Eyes and More in 2023.

Her latest track Home For The Holidays is inspired by the likes of Dr. Dog’s and The Ramones’ Christmas efforts bringing surf rock to the season and is about the heightened expectations and bittersweet feelings of returning home for the holidays. A lively pop rock composition gives us plenty of energy and atmosphere but it’s Nicole’s characterful vocals and image-laden lyrics that truly shine during the verse. A memorable chorus is a highlight.

The track was recorded in Philadelphia with Justin Nazario at Sound Splitter Studios. It was mixed and mastered in Germantown by Erik Kramer. It’s out now and you can give it a listen below.
