Days Of August is an intriguing three piece indie-folk band from Norway, curating gorgeous folk songs with wonderful harmonies.

Van Gogh starts out fairly slowly, showing off those amazing vocal harmonies at the very start. A fingerpicked acoustic guitar melody soon arrives, as the lead vocals kick in, having a lovely, soft quality that is both subtle and beautiful. The backing effects are really stunning here, as a gorgeous orchestral melody runs through the background, adding more texture to the piece. The chorus is pretty simplistic, but it’s beautiful enough as is, as the haunting vocal harmonies arrive back into the music. The track builds up towards the end into a glorious crescendo, making this is a must listen track.
