Pour One Out is a great example of Brian’s work – it’s got a pretty poppy beat and keyboard melody, yet the acoustic guitars sound like something that would belong in a country tune. It all works surprisingly well though, showing a great well of creativity within this artist. Brian’s vocals are somewhat raw, yet they suit the style of music well, melding perfectly with the country side of the tune. The main chord sequence chosen is melancholy, but it adds a catchy edge to the tune – particularly when the anthemic chorus kicks in. I guarantee you won’t be able to stop humming the tune to Pour One Out after the first listen!
