Canadian band The Dirty Nil have quickly become one of my favourite acts, showcasing their music perfectly on their new release.

The Light, The Void and Everything starts out fairly slowly, with some gorgeous electric guitar arpeggios. The vocals are extremely strong here, truly soaring with passion, showing just how important this band is to the modern music scene. The energy is ramped up slowly, turning the quiet moments into a glorious rock and roll tune with a great deal of soul. It’s extremely atmospheric, showing a band that are masters of their own craft.
