You recently released a new song called Love And War. What can you tell us about the track?
This is the first single we’ve recorded with the new band line-up so I am really excited about it! I wrote the song after a few difficult months in my long distance relationship with a terrible communicator.
How has the reception to Love And War been so far, and where can it be purchased?
The song has been really well received – added to over 75 Spotify playlists, several other streaming radio stations and it’s charting #41 worldwide on Radio Indie Alliance! The best places to buy the song are at Bandcamp or at my site, Jennifertefft.com
Do you have any more singles planned for release in the near future?
We will most likely be releasing another single in mid January ahead of our full album release.
Are there any plans for an EP or album anytime soon?
We are currently in pre-production with Grammy award winning producer/engineer Bob St. John (Duran Duran, Extreme, Collective Soul, Lisa Loeb, Ricky Martin et al). We go into the studio in mid-November and hope to have the album ready for a February release.
I hear your band has a new line-up! Can you tell us a little more about the current arrangement? How is everything going so far?
Yes! We have a new drummer – Chris Georgenes and a new bass player – Stephen “Sharky” Beccia, along with my long -time guitarist John Parrillo. The new players have really added a new energy to everything we’ve been doing. We are having a blast playing together and learning how to arrange songs together. So far, so good!
Love And War is an extremely powerful rock song. What/who influences you most as an artist? What have you been listening to recently?
I really resonate with the alt-rock of the ‘90s and I love a good angst-ridden song lol. I love moody, minor keys and dramatic dynamic,s but I’ve been trying to get out of my comfort zone a bit with the new songs we are getting ready to record. I listen to a really wide range of artists from Carole King to Three Days Grace, MItski to Destroy Boys, The Pretty Reckless, I Don’t Know How But They Found Me, Nothing But Thieves. I like any song that takes me somewhere emotionally.
You’re based in Boston. What is the local music scene like with you at the moment?
I struggle with this question because on one hand, I feel like there is a solid heartbeat that still exists in the Boston music scene, but at the same time we’ve seen a lot of our small and mid sized clubs close and other rooms book mostly tribute bands. But if you look hard enough, there is some really killer music being made here!
Do you have anything else exciting coming up this year?
I am really looking forward to getting this new album done and out there and to getting out there and playing these songs live.
Do you have any tour dates lined up for the UK?
Not at the moment – but you never know!
Any last words for the fans?
Thank you for listening! I truly appreciate every single person who takes the time to check out new original music. Even better if you join our email list or follow us on our socials so we can stay in touch!
