York-based Americana and folk artist Pete Lambert has featured a few times before on this blog. It was in December last year that he first hit our radar, and since then there’s be a steady trickle of new music. His latest will feel very familiar to residents of our fair city. It’s called Ghosts.

Ghosts is based on a true story of happenings that occurred as Pete walked past the Minster on his way to the Three Legged Mare. It’s suitably atmospheric, perfect for the coming long nights and spooky season. Pete’s vocals are, as always, beautifully expressive, and his attention to detail in his lyrics will have you utterly gripped.
The track is the latest single release from Pete’s upcoming debut album I Told You a Story. It features York Calling favourite Joshua Burnell on organ, piano and drums, and Samuel Jackson on double bass. Dan Webster is, once again, on production. You can give Ghosts a listen below.
