Local singer songwriter Pete Lambert has featured on our blog a couple of times before and I continue to be excited by his music. His latest features other York Calling favourites Emily Lawler and Joshua Burnell, and production from Dan Webster. It’s called Never Die.

Never Die is the third single release from Pete’s upcoming debut album Whiskey, Sadness, Heartbreak. It’s a melancholic track, exploring the idea of holding onto a relationship that has already slipped away. Pete beautifully conveys the feeling with his vocals, against a delicate, folk-infused instrumental backdrop.

The track features Alex Victoria on cello and backing vocals, Emily Lawler on violin, Sam Jackson on double bass and Joshua Burnell on synth. It’s produced by Dan Webster.
