York-based Americana and folk singer songwriter Pete Lambert has featured a few times on this blog since we discovered his music at the end of 2022.

Pete works with other well-known York musicians to craft highly perceptive tracks and his latest Long Shadow includes Joshua Burnell on Hammond organ and piano, Sam Jackson on drums and double bass, and Dan Webster on production and lead guitar.

Long Shadow explores the darker side of being a relationship, unpacking the emotions that come from a distant lover. It brings the feeling to life through a melancholic acoustic arrangement, lyrics that are rich with imagery, and as ever, Pete’s characterful and expressive vocals.
