I always love discovering music a bit different from the norm, and American rockers TAUK certainly fit into that category!

Melvin’s Mind may be an instrumental song, but it doesn’t need any lyrics, as it’s fantastic as it is. It’s pretty hard to characterise by genre, but I would say it’s a prog rock track, with some electronica also added in for good measure. The guitar riffs and synths carry through the song in a stylistic way, changing rapidly but never losing the listener’s attention. It’s an extremely busy track, so you do need to listen to this a few times to appreciate it. However, I have no doubt that fans of the prog genre will find themselves addicted to Melvin’s Mind!
