American alt-pop singer-songwriter Ashlynn Malia is a fairly new discovery of mine, but we’ve already got new music from her!

Midas takes things in a slightly different direction, as it’s a little slower than some of the other songs we’ve heard by Ashlynn. However, it really is beautiful at times, creating a pop song utterly different from the modern musical norms. A throbbing bassline pulsates away in the background, as multiple synth layers appear, guiding you through the music with style. Ashlynn’s vocals are fantastic too, and for once, the autotune actually adds something amazing to the atmosphere. If you like your pop a little different to the norm, this is for you!
