Canadian bluegrass band Under The Rocks have become one of the premier bluegrass bands in the country, and for good reason!

As well as the obvious bluegrass elements, new track Honest Try also contains elements of country, folk and Americana, creating an awesome all round mix of sounds. It’s quite a minimalist sounding tune, with the banjo standing out within the instrumentation, alongside some lovely acoustic guitar melodies. There’s also a violin that appears occasionally in the background, adding a subtle sense of beauty to the piece. The vocals are great too, having a soulful quality that suits the style of music well. I absolutely loved Honest Try!
