Embrace Return to Yorkshire

Indie-rockers EMBRACE will be returning to the home soils of West Yorkshire, performing in the historic surrounds of Cistercian ruins at Kirkstall Abbey, Leeds next summer to celebrate 20 years of their number 1 album Out of Nothing.

Released in 2004, 2x platinum- selling Out of Nothing landed Embrace with a number 1 album and outstanding critical success. Packed with hit singles including Gravity which was written with Coldplay’s Chris Martin, and Ashes which has since become an anthemic crowd favourite year after year, Out of Nothing has firmly cemented itself as an indie-rock classic.

Speaking of next year’s unmissable show, lead singer Danny McNamara says:

”The chance to play our biggest album from start to finish for the first time ever, in such a spectacular setting, was too great an opportunity to pass up. The album will always hold a really special place in our hearts, NME called it ‘the best comeback since Lazarus!’ and it’s true it did bring us back from the brink in many ways. It’s got some of our biggest hits on it, and some of the band’s favourite live songs too. To be honest the twenty years has flown by, it seems like only yesterday that Out Of Nothing catapulted the band back to the top of the charts!”

Also joining Embrace on this jam-packed bill are Britpop favourites Ocean Colour Scene, rockers Ash, recently resurgent 90’s hit makers Sleeper and local Leeds outfit Cud.
