At the beginning of November, London-based songwriter Russell Joslin revealed O Veisalgia – the first full-length album from his new, harmony-led, full-band project Russell Joslin & High Black Water.
Encompassing folk-rock, post-punk, grunge, and alt-rock, the album has been called ‘riveting in its stylish, melodic rock sound’ (Obscure Sound) and ‘a musical journey that invites listeners to contemplate the intricacies of modern existence’ (Musikepool).
After a packed album launch at London’s Waiting Room, Russell is now on tour with High Black Water vocalist and long-time musical collaborator Sarah McCaig as a stripped-back duet, presenting the songs of O Veisalgia and older folk-rock material from his 2017 nu-folk record Hey Mathematician.
The duet plays Northern Guitars in Leeds on Saturday November 18th at 3 p.m.
