Video: Rachael Sage – I Made A Case

New York, USA-based singer, songwriter, poet, arranger and producer Racheal Sage made her debut on this blog in August thanks to the release of her album The Other Side. I Made A Case features on that record and now she’s released it as a single that comes complete with a video.

By Graeme Smith

I Made A Case is a duet featuring Howard Jones and is, in Racheal’s words, the saddest song on The Other Side. It opens slow and pensive, with Racheal accompanying herself on piano. Howard’s vocals provide some beautiful harmonies and the track gradually builds to an orchestrated finish.

The video, directed by Tobias LaMontagne, sees Racheal’s live performance married with stunning dreamscapes, invoking a sense of loneliness. It’s a perfect amplification of the message of the track’s lyrics, co-written with Nashville’s Jeff Cohen.

I Made A Case was produced by Racheal and Grammy-winner Andy Zulla. You can check out its video below.
