We’ve been enamoured with the unique styling of New York, USA-based singer songwriter Racheal Sage since last summer, when I shared her fifteenth studio album The Other Side.

Never wanting to miss the opportunity to share more of her music, I knew that I had to give her new single Albatross a write up. It’s an acoustic reimagining of the song that appeared on last year’s The Other Side and sees Racheal team up with folk artist Crys Matthews.

The new take gives the track an inviting rawness and Racheal and Crys’s vocals work beautifully together during a soaring, philosophical chorus.

Albatross will feature on Rachael’s upcoming album Another Side, produced by Rachael, and recorded and mixed by Mikhail Pivovarov and Andy Zulla. The album promises some high-profile duets including Analyse & Ryan, Amy Speace and Grace Pettis.

If you’re hoping to catch Rachael live, you’re in luck. She’ll be performing here in the UK in Brighton on 16 and 17 May, and will return in November for some more dates.
