German composer FESTERLIEBEN returns, this time with his own variation on a Christmas carol, (Maria durch ein Dornwald ging).

FESTERLIEBEN has termed this piece Dornwald. It’s entirely piano-based, and has a classic carol sound throughout. The piano is really beautiful, having a slightly eerie feel at times. It’s really atmospheric, seeing this composer perform some wonderful melodies with a subtle beauty, creating something entirely haunting to behold. It’s a little different to most carols, having more of a classic, almost medieval sound, but it’s well worth checking out, due to its unique qualities. Find it here:
