Discovery: Jannik Werner

German composer Jannik Werner is another new discovery of mine, although I’m sure I’ll be sharing more of his stuff in the near future!

Trip (06/09) is a gorgeous piece of classical music, in more of a neoclassical vein. It’s a really special piece of music, getting straight under your skin in no time. The left hand performs some glorious rhythmic arpeggios, whilst the right hand plays the main melody, ebbing and flowing throughout the piece. It may sound simplistic at first, but there’s much more going on here than first meets the ear, making it a perfect piece of music for anyone into this genre. Find the piece here:
