Nathanial Saposnikoff is a very unique artist, creating distinctive synth-pop songs like his latest release, Wanderer. It’s an 80s-influenced track that also includes some elements of the modern electro genre, mixing things up a little. Why not find out more about Nathanial below?!

You recently released a new track called Wanderer. What can you tell us about the song?
Wanderer is lyrically about loss and disorientation, but musically it takes on much more easy going forms. The moog matriarch synth kind of set the mood for the sonic imprint of the track. I also invited a few friends to play on the recording, which made the production part much more fun.
How has the reception to the track been so far, and where can it be purchased?
Well it’s found its way to quite a number of playlists, which is fun, but I try to not focus to much on the reception as I feel it can take the edge of what I like about creating music. The song was released by Argiepop Records and can be heard on all major streaming platforms.
Do you have any more singles planned for the near future?
Yes, I have one track that I’m just about to finish and a couple of sketches that I’m still working on. Looking to release one more during the first half of 2024.
Your debut album was released last year, titled Stream of Time. What can you tell us about the record?
I had released two EPs before Stream of Time and the album release was a sort of culmination of the musical world I had developed during those first years. A lot of accumulated experiences got funneled through Stream of Time and ironically that period of music making is what I am moving away from now with Wanderer.
Are there any plans to release a new album or EP anytime soon?
Before, I produced quite fast and quite a lot, now I’m trying not to rush things and let the music develop more organically. But what I work on now will for sure become an EP or album eventually.
Wanderer is a really unique sounding track. What/who are you most influenced by when making this song? What have you been listening to recently?
I’m directly influenced by Daniel Norgren, Daniel Ögren, William Onyeabor, Tame Impala, Mac Demarco, Kurt Vile and Beach House. But I listen to a lot of music that’s not in the same ballpark genre wise too.
You’re from Stockholm. What is the local music scene like?
There are so many people making music here, we could definitely benefit from more venues for indie music. I kind of romanticise about a music scene centered more around a sense of community than what we have currently. But there’s a whole lot of artists and bands making great stuff.
Do you have anything else exciting coming up over the next few months?
I also play drums for some other groups and we recently finished recording material for Erik Sandqvist’s new album which I am currently mixing. Something to keep a lookout for!
Do you have any tour dates lined up for the UK?
Not currently, would be awesome to come play sometime!
Any last words for the fans?
Stay tuned! More stuff is heading your way!
