New Music: Isaac Neilson – Flying

Isaac Neilson is a Buxton-based indie rock artist who has appeared on our blog a few times now, going right back to early 2022. His latest captures a delicate situation and the emotion of it. It’s called Flying.

By Graeme Smith

Ruminating on dark thoughts, Isaac brings them to the light in Flying. An escapist fantasy born from the last moments before sleep, there’s a suitable vibrancy to it. Yet the melancholy of its heavy subject matter is never lost, and the contrast leads to a captivatingly engaging track that will find fans of classic and modern rock alike.

Flying features Isaac Neilson on all instruments except the drums, which are played by Damo Webster. It was produced by Matt Taylor, with Isaac, and was recorded by Matt. Mixing is by Cameron Craig and mastering by Frank Arkwright. The track was recorded at ARC Studios Enysham, and mastered at Abbey Road.
