Suffolk-based alternative rock artist Gabrielle Ornate has featured a few times before on this blog. It was in the summer of 2022 that she made her debut on these pages as part of Jane’s That’s Where You’ll Find Me roundup post about pop music. She then followed that up with an interview. Last year I ran the rule over her track Delirium.

Her latest example of her self-styled “ethereal rock” is called Enchantress of Sound. Bringing together the disparate crafts of folk poety and heavy rock it’s a delightfully vibrant and textured track. The lyrics speak of female empowerment, a sentiment that’s embodied by Gabrielle’s strong and expressive vocals.
Already being celebrated by the likes of BBC Radio 1 and Radio 6 Music, as well as making some notable festival appearances, it’s surely only a matter of time before the whole world discovers Gabrielle’s unique sound.
