Dark Prophecy gives us punchy pop rock right from the start. There’s an infectious energy to the track. It feels both throwback and boundary-pushing. If there were any doubt about its captivatingness, Ornate’s expressive vocals seal the deal when they come in. They become passionate during a soaring chorus which proves rousing. We were already fans of hers, but this track takes things to the next level.

Gabrielle Ornate’s music has been appearing on our blog since 2022 and she’s shown us a varied yet coherent sound over multiple releases. I think Dark Prophecy is her best yet.
