You recently released a new EP titled Heterentropy. What can you tell us about the record?
Our latest EP, Heterentropy, consists of four songs that we composed amidst the backdrop of the COVID-19 quarantines. These tracks were born from the challenges and reflections of that period, delving into deeply personal experiences. They reflect the vulnerability we felt both individually and as part of the broader human experience. In essence, each song encapsulates a significant part of our souls, making this record particularly meaningful to us.
How has the reception to the EP been so far, and where can it be purchased?
The reception to the EP has been overwhelmingly positive across the board. It seems that people from all walks of life have resonated with the album, finding various reasons to love it. Perhaps it’s the unique inspiration behind these songs, stemming from the shared experience of a global trauma like the COVID-19 pandemic, that makes them so relatable to listeners. As a result, people seem to connect with the music on a deeply personal level, evoking a wide range of emotions.
As of now, we haven’t released the album in physical form. Instead, you can enjoy it on various digital platforms like YouTube, Spotify and Bandcamp. If you’d like to support the band, you can do so by purchasing our songs or band merch on Bandcamp. Additionally, you can show your support by donating through Spotify. We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who listens, likes, and shares our songs
Do you have any singles planned for release from the record?
At the moment, we’re focusing on promoting Heterentropy. We’ll explore new singles once we wrap up the promotion tour.
Are there any plans for a full-length album anytime soon?
Hmm, it depends on your definition of any time soon. Realistically, we’re looking at about a year’s time before a full-length album might drop.
Your music is quite unique, mixing indie and post-rock together. What/who are you most influenced by?
Our uniqueness, as you put it, stems from the diverse influences each band member brings to the table. We draw inspiration from a wide array of artists and genres, which somehow blend seamlessly into our sound.
You’re from Greece. What is the local music scene like with you?
The local music scene in Greece is quite special. Among indie Greek bands, there’s a strong sense of mutual respect. We all understand the challenges of pursuing our artistic dreams, not necessarily aiming for greatness but simply striving to express ourselves creatively.
What are your main influences as a band?
If you asked every band member, you would get six completely different answers. Some bands that are common among all of us include Radiohead, dEUS and Sigur Rós. Personally, I am greatly influenced by Tool, Porcupine Tree and The Pineapple Thief.
Do you have anything else exciting coming up in the next few months?
Yes! The following months we will be touring in Greece, which is always exciting!!!
Do you have any tour dates lined up for the UK?
If all goes according to plan, we’re aiming to make some appearances in the UK toward the end of October. Keep those fingers crossed for us!
Any last words for the fans?
Stay safe out there, prioritise getting vaccinated, and remember that it’s okay to ask for help when you need it. There’s a lot of goodness in the world, and by trusting in each other, we can make it through anything. Take care, and thank you for your support!
