I’m not normally a massive fan of mainstream pop music, but Sugar has a definitive indie edge to it, showing an artist that can create music for multiple genres. It’s certainly catchy and there is a certain amount of autotune used on the vocals, but this is more for stylistic effect than anything else. The palm-muted guitar build the verses up perfectly until the chorus kicks in, exploding with a huge burse of energy.

Sugar is a fantastic song and one that shows good things for Chan’s future musical career!
