The British singer-songwriter creates stripped-down folk songs like latest release, One Last Song. It’s got quite a minimalist feel at first, seeing a set of pretty piano notes and a fingerpicked acoustic guitar style run behind Laura’s vocals. The music is beautiful here, bit the vocals are the real focal point – they’ve got a delicate yet emotive sound, providing something different for the indie-folk movement. The chorus is a real belter too, adding a catchy hook into the mix.
