British alternative folk band Morning Crush is becoming a staple of these pages, having been featured here since 2021. Their latest track comes complete with a video, directed by Stranger Things star Amybeth McNulty.

Fighting the Dog is a song about the struggle to find authenticity and connection in a world where those things are becoming increasingly rare commodities. It’s the mix of the personal and the political that we’ve come to expect from Morning Crush, who never mince words and tells it like no-one else is able to.
It’s a track that brims with an understated energy that threatens to boil over at any moment. It does in a powerful, emotional chorus that perfectly blends anthemic pop and visceral folk rock. It might just be their best effort yet.
