Ghostly West End Show Comes to Haunted York

It’s almost time for the supernatural thriller 2:22 A Ghost Story to arrive in York (known as the most haunted city in Europe) and is showing at the city’s 122-year-old Grand Opera House, packed with haunting mysteries, making the venue the perfect place for this spine-tingling night out.

This brilliantly funny show is centered around 2:22 in the morning – the time of suspected movement in Jenny’s and Sam’s new home – and after taking the West End by storm now comes to York as part of a UK tour.

When asked about the ghostly goings on at the Grand Opera House, Paranormal Research York – who have recently visited the theatre – say “Our team encountered a variety of supernatural experiences,  The Grand Opera House continues to intrigue and captivate with its haunting mysteries, each time we investigate”.

The production, where secrets emerge and ghosts may or may not appear, is written by Danny Robins, creator of the hit BBC podcasts Uncanny and The Battersea Poltergeist and arrives in York on Tuesday 30th April, and runs until Saturday 4th May.

Laura McMillan, Theatre Director at the Grand Opera House says: “With over a hundred years of history, the Grand Opera House certainly has a few spooky tales to tell that make us the perfect host for 2:22 A Ghost Story.  York is known worldwide for its ghost stories and I know that audiences are going to love being on the edge of their seats with 2:22 as they experience a night of adrenaline-filled entertainment.”
