Brighton post-hardcore band Could Be Ghosts have released not one but two cracking new singles together, and we’ve got the scoop on both tracks!
By Jane Howkins
First up is fucked up brain pH, simply bursting out of the seams with boundless energy. It’s got quite a punky vibe, featuring some cool guitar licks and solos, played in eccentric fashion alongside the rhythm section. The vocals are pretty darn good too – they’re sung for the most part, although there are some cool gang vocals at times. The production is a little raw, but it’s still obviously a decent track – just check out that breakdown towards the end!
The second track is much heavier and harder, although it’s still rather catchy at times. On SPLIT HEAD, Could Be Ghosts introduce some screaming sections, interspersed between the singing and the fast, punchy riffs. It’s quite a short track, with a random disco sequence appearing towards the end, keeping the listener constantly engaged for what’s next. Check out both songs below!
