Leicester-based rockers 9 o’clock Nasty are one of the most prolific acts we’ve covered on this blog so we never have to wait very long for new music to share from them. Their latest single Bad Monkey comes complete with a video.

Everything that 9 o’clock Nasty do, they do with their tongue placed firmly in their cheek. It’s something to bear in mind when we read the band describing Bad Monkey as being “middle of the road”. True, they’ve put aside some of their most out there elements in favour of familiar rock in their latest single, but there’s nothing generic about it.
Opening with some big, fuzzy riffs, Bad Monkey at once sounds like a classic rock number. Call and response vocals give us some texture, delivering the kind of sardonic, subversive lyrics we know and love from the guys.
Bad Monkey is the fifth single release from 9 o’clock Nasty’s upcoming album, provisionally titled THIS IS CROWLAND. You can check out its video below.
