Earth To Cheska, the musical project of Los Angeles, USA-based indie pop artist Cheska Zaide has featured once before on our blog. Last month I shared her single, Power.
By Graeme Smith
Her latest Girls Gone Wild sees her taking back the phrase “girls gone wild,” one that’s still used in a smutty way to appeal to men. Cheska’s take on it sees women take control, delivering us an empowering message through a punchy and energetic punk rock number where her characterful vocals shine. A rap-like verse will have you nodding along before the track arrives at a take-no-prisoners chorus.
Cheska has been performing music since the age of twelve, and has previously played the Vans Warped Tour with her former band A+ Dropouts. Inspired by the likes of Weezer, Green Day and Olivia Rodrigo, she’s an artist for lovers of old school and new pop rock equally.
Girls Gone Wild is out now and you can check it out below.
