I first discovered American indie-folk artist Northwest Stories in January of this year – now they return with a blinding new track, Stormy Day.

Stormy Day is another beautiful indie-folk song – whilst it sounds pretty simplistic at first, the track has a subtle beauty, worming its way deep inside your brain on the first listen. The main instrumentation comes from a fingerpicked acoustic guitar, with the occasional piano motif thrown in at times, but the piano never takes over the track. And of course, the vocals are fantastic – they’re full of heart and soul, making you feel everything being sung about in the lyrics. Folk fans need to check this track out!
