I first discovered Chicago-based artist Bad Bubble at the start of the year – now he returns with new tune, This is for Priscilla.

If you’ve not listened to Bad Bubble’s music before, it’s worth pointing out that it’s rather experimental in parts. This is for Priscilla follows in the same footpath, creating a bedroom pop song like no other. The main instrumentation comes from a flowing piano melody – it’s simple yet surprisingly effective when placed against the steady drums and electronic sound effects. The real focal point remains on the vocals though, which include numerous vocal lines passing over one another, building up to create a gorgeous crescendo of voices.
