On Barren Lands, Lara mixes together elements of traditional and modern folk with a bit of a 1960s twist, making for one piece of music that folk fans across the board should enjoy! It’s a track full of warm textures, created by the layered guitar melodies. A strummed acoustic guitar runs throughout the piece, adding a rhythmic quality to the music, as occasional electric guitar motifs tail off in a wondrous way. Lara’s voice is amazing too, adding a depth of emotion to this cracking tune.
