World Senior Darts Matchplay Returns to York Barbican

Top tungsten action is back at York Barbican this October, as the World Seniors Darts Matchplay returns to York on Fri 4th and Sat 5th October 2024.

Featuring 16 of the best over 50’s darts players spread across two days of action.

The legendary 16-time champion of the world Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor is set to call time on a dazzling career at the end of 2024, but not before he graces the York Barbican stage one last time.

Defending champion, The Soulger, Leonard Gates will be back to defend the title he lifted in 2023. The American will have his work cut out for him though, with former Champion Robert Thornton hungry to regain the crown he lost last year.

2024 has already seen 2 new winners on the World Seniors Darts Tour, and they will both be hoping to add to their trophy cabinets. John ‘The Highlander’ Henderson became the World Seniors World Champion back in February, and Big Hendo shows no sign of slowing down his assault on the Seniors tour. Henderson will be joined by the new Champion of Champions of the WSDTRichie ‘The Owl’ Howson, who lifted his first major title in Blackpool earlier this year.

The accolades keep on coming for the line up, as former world champions Martin AdamsTrina Gulliver and Lisa Ashton all make returns. They’ll be accompanied by the Artist, Kevin Painter.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased via https://www.yorkbarbican.co.uk/whats-on/world-seniors-darts-tour/.
