Last year, Silja was nominated as Iceland’s new rising star by the country’s Bylgjan radio station and she currently has her third album in the works.
Her new single …real love gives us an irresistible R&B groove, inspired by the likes of Olivia Dean and Frank Ocean. Written about her time living in Los Angeles, USA, the track brings to mind chilled summer vibes, brought to life by a sultry, jazzy arrangement in which Silja’s vocals are a crystalline jewel.
…real love was arranged by Silja with Magnus Dagsson and producer Stefán Örn Gunnlaugsson. Magnus plays guitar and rhodes, with Baldur Kristjánsson on bass and Kristófer Nökkvi on drums. The track is out now and you can check it out below.
