If you’re a fan of the folk music genres, then American singer-songwriter Cate Armstrong could be right up your alley!

The form of folk music that Cate makes is more modern than traditional, although there’s still plenty to love in Maybe This Time for more retro folk fans. The music is characterised by a pretty, flowing acoustic guitar melody, fingerpicked in a glorious way. There’s also some nice backing sounds that add a lot of layers to the piece – they’re subtle, yet they’re delightfully present. Cate’s vocals are nice too, carrying along with great passion and emotion, adding a nice touch to this pretty piece of music.
