It’s been a while since we last shared new music from Arliston – now he returns with Monks of Lindisfarne!

The British singer-songwriter has created a lovely modern folk song in Monks of Lindisfarne. Named after the small island in Northumberland, the piece really manages to conjure up an evocative feel of the place, if you’ve ever had the good fortune to venture up there. The music is dreamy and beautiful, building up slowly as the piece progresses. Whilst it’s rather folky, there’s also a poppy sensibility about the track, particularly with the way Arliston’s vocals seep through the music. Give it a go here:
