Deer Park Avenue return with defiant new single, Crucible – Swiss Mix.

Deer Park Avenue are an American sister duo based in Munich, Germany consisting of Sarah and Steph Snyder. They’ve featured on our blog a couple of times before, going back to September last year when I discovered them through their single Strut.
Their latest single Crucible is about trial by fire and finding the resilience to ride out life’s challenges to become stronger. The Swiss Mix combines a moody darkness with a vibrant optimism to create an instrumental with plenty of depth. A rich chorus gives us space age rock and singalong lyrics. Things end big with a ponderous guitar solo.
Crucible is the title track of the duo’s second album, set for release 6 September 2024, and available to pre-order via Kickstarter. The single was produced by Grammy winner Reto Peter and is out now. You can check it out below.
