Munich, Germany-based sister rock duo Deer Park Avenue first hit our radar in September this year thanks to their riff-laden track Strut. Now I’m pleased to welcome them back with their genre-bending new single Darkness Hides Me.

Though it’s difficult to put a genre label on Darkness Hides Me, one thing is for sure, it’s a track designed to excite you. A bouncy folk rhythm meets pop and rock and electronic overtones while heartfelt vocals tell a story of embracing life’s darker moments, for within them, there can be joy. A rousing, textured chorus will have you feeling every note.

Darkness Hides Me is part of Deer Park Avenue’s new EP Dark and Stormy which is out now. Featuring on the track is Matt Bissonette on bass and co-production. The track was also produced by GRAMMY-winning producer Reto Peter. You can give it a listen below.
