The German composer really has outdone himself on La Recherche. It’s a beautiful piece of music that will surely tug at your heartstrings on the very first listen. It opens with a pretty, flowing piano melody, before a gorgeous string section is added, before the woodwind instrumentation kicks in a little later. There are a lot of layers here, all combining to make for one haunting piece of music that will knock your socks off. It’s rare I hear something that sends me chills like this, but Justus has done it again!
