Your French Girlfriend takes revenge in charismatic and cathartic new single, Secrets.

Your French Girlfriend is a duo “born in a smoking area in East London” who are now backed by a four-piece band. They’ve been making a name for themselves on the London live scene and have now arrived on our pages for the first time thanks to their second release, Secrets.
About a woman scorned and the revenge she takes, it was the lyrics that drew me to the track. They’re beautifully irreverent and full of storytelling detail. Cutting humour runs through them all, and they’re charismatically delivered. A terse yet cathartic jazz-rock instrumental backs it all ably, especially during a freakout moment as the track reaches its climax.
