Moving Mirrors are London-based alternative rock band who have just hit my radar thanks to their North African, jazz and reggaeton-infused new track Second Hand Lover.

Second Hand Lover is a fresh and interesting take on contemporary rock. There’s an urgent undercurrent of post-rock, swirling alongside lively percussion and catchy guitar riffs. The vocals are rich and pleading, telling a story of toxic love that eventually reaches a cathartic crescendo.

Moving Mirrors are lead vocalist Sophie Lentle, guitarists Christo McCracken and Sean Bianco, bassist Luke Halls, and drummer Nick Jones. They formed last summer through apps and mutual connections. They’re influenced by a diverse range of acts, including Lana Del Rey, Massive Attack, Daughter and The Stone Roses. They’re set to release their debut EP in the autumn.
