York Calling favourite Wotts continues to take sonic swings with Killers and MGMT-inspired new single, sinking.

Wotts are an Ottawa, Canada-based indie pop duo consisting of vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Jayem, and bassist and guitarist Ricky 100. The pair are one of those acts who we always have space for on our blog, having shared plenty of their music before, going back to 2022.
Their new single sinking sees them change up their sound, putting aside psych pop for a Sam’s Town by The Killers-inspired track. Right from the off, the track gives us some immersive vibrancy while the vocal keeps things nice and soulful. A chanting chorus sticks with you, bringing elements of bright Britpop into the mix.
