York Calling favourite Sarah von Reis gets pulses racing with intense and intimate new track, Nest.

A Swedish pop artist and former member of Dolly Style originally from Gothenburg, Sarah von Reis has appeared on our blog a few times now, going back to 2023. Most recently, I shared her single Solitude.

Her latest is Nest, the fourth release from her upcoming debut album, set to land in March 2025. Produced by Michelle Amkoff, it’s, in Sarah’s words, “a steamy, dreamy makeout song” which captures the intensity of lesbian romance. We get its sense of intimacy right from the off thanks to a stripped-back arrangement and Sarah’s breathy vocals. As the track progresses, pulses race, and things come to a head in a cinematic crescendo.
