Manchester’s onedaybear returns with upbeat new single

Northern indie pop artist onedaybear takes us on the high seas for his aspirational new track, Pirates.

By Graeme Smith

Onedaybear is a Manchester-based artist who has been appearing on our pages since 2021. Most recently, I shared his rebellious post-rock single, Riot.

His new track, Pirates, tells us a story about embracing dreams and aspirations through the medium of salty sea dogs. There is, of course, a vibrant and upbeat feel about it, reminiscent of some of The Cure’s lighter moments. An electronic rock groove remains throughout, finally bringing us to an explosive conclusion.

With each new release, onedaybear’s music just gets better and better. Recorded at his home in Peak Forest, Pirates is out now and you can give it a listen below.
