Discovery: XA’LUM gets personal with interesting new single

With a sound influenced by Pink Floyd among others, XA’LUM is new to our blog through her latest single, Beiriña.

By Graeme Smith

With Franco-Galician roots, XA’LUM grew up in Spain before settling in Île-de-France. Her new single Beiriña draws inspiration from the traditional Galician song Amoriños Collín and delves into an intimate and personal realm for her.

There’s an immediately interesting approach to the track, blending ethereal moments with hard electronica to create a vivid and emotional soundscape. The vocals remain captivating throughout, bringing to mind some of Bjork’s softer moments.

Beiriña was produced and composed by XA’LUM and is out now. You can give it a listen below.
